My William The Conqueror of England Descent

Only 960 years ago in 1066, my ancestor, William the Conqueror, the Duke of Normandy invaded England.  Landing at Penvensey, England, he began a march towards Hastings where after a day long battle, William emerged as the victor over King Harold.   In early late October or early November he mounted a seige of London which forced the last Alnglo-Saxon heir to surrender.  William was crowned King of England on December 25, 1066. He was the first Norman King.
